Overview

A model designed par excellence for waterfowl hunters. The gun is coated with the Max 5 camouflage film, the most effective camouflage for waterfowl. It has a super-magnum chamber so you can shoot 70mm - 89mm steel shot cartridges.

Rapid loading systems have been used on BROWNING^® semi-automatic shotguns for decades. The patented loading system sends the first shell in the magazine directly into the chamber. In addition, thanks to the rapid unloading system, unloading operations are both simple and fast, without needing to operate the bolt for sending each shell into the chamber.

The Maxus II is also back-bored which ensures there is less friction between the shot and the wall of the barrel. Instead of having to overcome friction, more of the energy generated by the gunpowder gases serves to propel the cartridge, thus increasing the velocity of the load.

The inflex anti-recoil butt plate is an extra-soft pad that offers the best recoil absorption possible. The exclusive design and material used promote a downward deviation of the direction of the recoil forces, thus pulling the buttstock slightly away from your face in order to reduce the recoil and the upward motion of the firearm. 

All hunting or sporting shotguns (over-and-under or semi-auto guns) by Browning are fitted with the original chokes (Invector, Steel Invector Plus, Stainless steel Invector Plus, Teague, Briley, Midas, Diamond, Signature chokes) can fire "high performance" steel shot cartridges.
